As
contacts can be soldered with non-lead solder wires and operation temperature
is over 400℃, heat accumulates within
the insulator quickly and causes possible melt and deformation. Therefore,
extra heat resistant material has to be used.
Requirement 4: Aesthetically pleasing, and no severe wear-down after many cycles of operation.
Requirement 1: over 5,000 cycles of insertion and extraction
After
5,000 cycles of operation, the locking mechanism shall stil be workable. There
should be enough gold plating remained on contacts and increase of contact
resistance should be within limit.
Each
component has to be accurate in dimensions, of top surface quality and be
assembled together carefully. Plating and printing has to be very
fast and endurable.
No
matter mating with our own connectors or cross mating with other brands,
connectors have to match smoothly with insertion and extraction forces
controlled within a certain range consistently.
It
took us 3 years to develop and improve on these connectors. After quite some turns of sample submittance and
engineering changes, finally we managed to deliver qualified samples and got
customer approval.
We
